When Asia-Pacific’s leading Cloud Channel Company, NewLease, decided to rebrand itself as rhipe back in 2015, The Az Brand & Design Dept. was engaged by their Chief Marketing Officer to build and develop the new brand. Andreas and his team developed a new brand identity and proposition statement as well as rhipe’s social media strategy. The Az team has been instrumental in delivering numerous major marketing campaigns and events across Australasia and South East Asia.
DESIGNED TO BE BOLD, UNDERSTOOD & ENGAGING
Taking inspiration from the existing logo, Andreas Zehntner and his team designed a new brand identity and visual language for the technology brand. The portfolio of tools included: typefaces, colour palette, brand super graphic, photography style, info-graphic language, advertising templates, ‘At Event’ graphics and bespoke promotional merchandise.

The Az Brand & Design Dept. helped rhipe design their social media strategy and practical tools to allow them to successfully roll it out. By introducing a set of guiding practices, the team was able to ensure effective and consistent social media activity. These included: using branded social media templates; capturing photo and video content at events; and the implementation of a distinctive brand language to communicate the tone and culture of the brand.
AUSTRALIAN PARTNERS CONFERENCES (2015-2016)
For the Microsoft APC events, we created and delivered campaigns that reaffirmed rhipe’s brand positioning as a disruptor; a leading cloud channel company that was born of innovation. The exhibition stand was designed like a stage set on which the brand sales team became the actors. The campaigns launched with pre-event marketing activity via social media. The event itself was brought to life with a series of on-stand and social media experiential activities in order to engage the attendees. The event climaxed with an impressive, branded cocktail party.
CLOUD SUMMIT 2016
The rhipe Cloud Summit was a South-East Asia initiative designed to establish and affirm rhipe as the leading cloud licensing company in this region. The Az team created and delivered the campaign for four major cities in Australia. The campaign was created with two types of event style: Deluxe and Boutique, both of which had their own defined structures, marketing activities and brand touch-points. This framework was then adopted and replicated by the marketing teams across the region to ensure consistency and success in each country.
MICROSOFT SUMMIT 2017
rhipe engaged Az Brand & Design Dept. to help them really make a statement at Microsoft’s new, exciting 4-day technology event, Microsoft Summit 2017. The team created and delivered a campaign that reasserted rhipe’s brand positioning as the leading cloud channel company and key connector in the APAC region. The impressive multi-functional 360°exhibition stand, with an in-built café and 2 metre video wall, was designed as a space where the sales team could effectively engage with attendees, discuss solutions and provide product demonstrations in real time. The Az Team also conceived and produced rhipe’s highly successful Beach Party event which kicked off the Microsoft Summit with a bang!
